Allison’s Website Upgrade: A Journey to Better Business

I always find it funny.

You’re at a networking event, exchanging business cards or social media details, and someone sheepishly mumbles, ‘Oh, please don’t look at my website, it’s in desperate need of an update!’ Sound familiar? Heck, maybe you’re guilty of it yourself! Whether it’s because I’m a designer or just a default response to the woes of website upkeep, who knows? (Seriously, enlighten me if you do!)

Anyway, today’s blog is dedicated to those who took the lead, decided to rebrand and update their beloved website that served them for many years. Today, I am going to talk about one of my awesome clients, Allison, a yoga studio owner based in Beautiful Townsville.

Initial Impressions of Allison

I remember my first call with Allison; I was a little nervous because I had never worked with a yoga studio before. (Thanks for taking a chance on me, Allison!) Yet, within moments, it became abundantly clear that Allison was no ordinary business owner. Her passion, expertise, and dedication were nothing short of otherworldly. And yet, her website… well, let’s just say it was showing its age. I quickly found out that Allison is the most passionate business owner I know. Her knowledge, expertise, and dedication were simply from a different planet. And guess what? Her brand and her website did not do her justice. Her website has served her for a long time; she has had it for over 8 years! Quite impressive. After our chat, I was hooked and knew that Allison needed a website that would reflect her passion, dedication to the community, and above all, her knowledge and professionalism.

The Website Transformation

After our initial chat, I was captivated. I knew in my bones that Allison deserved a website as vibrant and dynamic as her spirit. One that not only showcased her unwavering dedication to her community but also exuded professionalism and expertise in every pixel. Together, we started working on a website that would do her justice, and here are the results:

The Importance of Website Confidence

The reason why I am sharing Allison’s story with you today is to tell you that if nothing changes, literally nothing changes. Allison could have continued her business as she was; after all, she had done it for the last 8 years, and if it worked, surely it would continue working, right? But Allison wanted better for herself, for her brand, for her community, her current and future clients, and she had the courage, trust, and investment to make the change. AND it has paid off!

The Significance of Your Website in Sales

Many people say that your website doesn’t really matter when it comes to your sales as a service-based business. But this could not be further from reality. On top of my head, I can think of three strong reasons why it actually does:

  • Your confidence and your energy: nothing tells more about your energy. If you believe your website is subpar, believe me, your customer will think that too!
  • First Impressions Count: A well-designed and informative website builds trust and credibility.
  • Lead Generation and Conversion: A strategically optimized website can be a powerful tool for generating leads and converting them into paying clients. Whether it’s through compelling calls-to-action, easy-to-use contact forms, or valuable content that addresses your audience’s pain points, your website can play a crucial role in driving sales for your service-based business.

Ready for a Change?

Now, my question to you is: are you going to keep hiding Your Website in the Closet of Shame? If you are ready to change it, apply to work together.
